The
NBAFPO is comprised of members of the fire service involved in prevention
education, inspection and investigation. Our
members also come from other areas of inspection services and code compliance as
well as all levels of government.
The
NBAFPO works closely with our partners: The New
Brunswick Office of the Fire Marshal and the New
Brunswick Association of Fire Chiefs to help promote fire safety for all
citizens of New Brunswick.

We also are working with the NBAFC in lobbying the Province of NB to provide Fire Prevention Officers with the authority to issue Provincial Offences Procedures Act (POPA) tickets, where required.
We provide an Annual Seminar for our membership in April and any person interested in Fire Prevention is welcome to attend. The 2010 seminar is scheduled from 23-25 April 2010 in Bathurst, NB.
Membership
is also available for all persons involved in Fire Prevention at an annual cost
of $50.00 each. There is no limit
on the number of members from any department.
